Arrima score

No eligible stream

The PSTQ calculator applies the official MIFI grid (updated April 15, 2026): 1400 points split between human capital, Quebec's needs and adaptation. It checks your eligibility for the four streams and compares your score with the cutoffs of the latest Arrima draws, current as of September 24, 2026. The result is indicative and does not replace the MIFI's decision.

Frequently asked questions about the PSTQ calculator

How many points is the PSTQ scored out of?

Out of 1400 points on the official MIFI grid: 520 for human capital (French, age, experience, education), 700 for Quebec's needs (in-demand occupation, Quebec diploma and experience, residence, work or studies outside the Montreal Metropolitan Community, validated job offer) and 180 for adaptation (spouse, family in Quebec, Quebec studies without a diploma).

What are the 4 PSTQ streams?

Stream 1 covers highly qualified and specialized skills (TEER 0, 1 or 2 occupations), stream 2 intermediate and manual skills (TEER 3, 4 or 5), stream 3 regulated professions and stream 4 exceptional talent. For each stream, the calculator tells you whether your profile is eligible, not eligible or needs to be verified.

How much does French weigh in the score?

The applicant's French can earn up to 200 points (50 points per skill at level 9 or higher, across four skills), or 160 points with an accompanying spouse, and the spouse's French adds up to 40 points. Without a valid French test of two years or less, the calculator gives 0 points, unless the applicant holds a French-language secondary diploma or an OQLF permit (stream 3).

How often are PSTQ draws held?

About once a month in 2026: the calculator lists 9 Arrima extractions, from January 29, 2026 to September 21, 2026. The criteria (sectors, stream, Quebec diploma) and the cutoffs change from one draw to the next.

Where do the scores and cutoffs come from?

Points follow the official MIFI grid (ministerial order of June 20, 2025, updated April 15, 2026). Cutoffs come from the results published on quebec.ca and are entered manually after each draw; the latest update is dated September 24, 2026. The result is indicative: only the MIFI's decision is binding.
